There's a really slow wifi connection here, so uploading photos is more or less impossible.
The weather has changed completely and we've sweltered along in 34° plus. The rain and cold are long forgotten!
Our route has taken us on canal-side paths, past lagoons full of flamingos, heron and egrets. We even had a brief glimpse of an otter in one of the rivers.
There was also a fun little traghetto (ferry crossing).
It's all been very peaceful, but initially totally lacking in shade.
After 60km we came to a small town, the first for miles and found a café where we ate fresh pasta with fresh local asparagus -very welcome. It is a Sunday and also Republic Day. Not much is open and what's more it is a very sparsely populated area.
Sightseeing in Ferrara will have to wait for the morning. We are exhausted and were more interested in finding a cold beer and a pizza on arrival!
